Table of Contents

Fibroblasts are the basic cells of the connective tissue and have very important functions in the body. The most important task of fibroblasts is the production of collagen and elastin, which are extremely important for the skin and provide shine and flexibility to the skin. They are also responsible for activating the wound healing system of the organism when any damage occurs to the skin. With fibroblast skin tightening treatment, it is possible to obtain a younger and more vibrant body. In these treatment methods in which plasma fibroblast is used, the body becomes firmer.

Fibroblasts in the organism lose their ability to produce elastin and collagen over time. Especially in the sun-exposed areas of the skin, fibroblasts deteriorate over time and their number decreases. The elasticity of the skin is lost, wrinkles are formed, and conditions such as collapse and sagging are observed. These effects are treated with fibroblasts obtained from the tissue taken from the person himself.

Benefits of plasma fibroblast therapy

Since fibroblasts are cells obtained from the person’s own tissue, they are a natural application and provide a natural appearance when applied. Since they are cells obtained from the person’s own tissue, they do not cause any allergic reaction.

  • Its effect duration and permanence are higher than other applications.
  • Fibroblast therapy is long-term.
  • However, this period is affected by external factors such as the person’s quality of life, smoking and alcohol use, stress factors, skin structure, water consumption, age, genetic structure, facial expression and UV. It is not carcinogenic.
  • Non-toxic.
  • It is not teratogenic.
  • Not allergic.

The main uses of fibroblast are:

  • Skin crack prevention
  • Prevention of hair loss
  • facial resurfacing treatments
  • skin tightening process
  • Burn scar treatments

Side effects of plasma fibroblast therapy

In the treatment of fibroblasts, the person’s own cells are used. For this reason, side effects are not generally seen. In addition, although rare, simple side effects such as swelling, redness, bruising and itching may occur temporarily. In addition, it is recommended that treatment be approached with caution in patients with:

  1. People who have been treated with medication due to a malignant disease,
  2. Pregnant or breastfeeding women,
  3. Persons who are at risk of infection in the area where the application will be made,
  4. People who are allergic to topical anesthetic drugs,
  5. People who have received treatment for keloid and hypertrophic scarring.

What does fibroblast do for the body?

Fibroblasts are used in many areas such as lip augmentation for aesthetic purposes, treatment of upper lip lines, dimples, wrinkle treatment, skin cracks (stretch mark), tissue losses after accident or birth, wounds that do not close due to chronic ulcers, acne and chickenpox scars. Young and fresh fibroblasts injected into the skin begin to produce collagen and elastin in the area where they are applied. By showing a strong anti-aging effect on the skin, they tighten and rejuvenate the skin.

How long does fibroblast skin tightening last?

It is wrong to wait for the effect immediately after the injection. As the cells begin to produce elastin and collagen, the skin gradually regains its radiance and elasticity. In short, after the second injection, the improvement begins to be noticed. Healing in the skin begins visibly after the injection and the placed fibroblasts do their job for at least 4-5 years. Since fibroblast treatment is done with the person’s own cells, no side effects are observed in the body. Only temporary swelling of the skin, bruising and redness at the injection site may occur. No reports have been made yet for its use in pregnancy.

What is the difference between fibroblast and collagen?

Collagen is a connective tissue element produced by fibroblasts. Therefore, fibroblasts appeal to a more general structure than collagens. Collagen type 1 protein, which is one of the main elements of connective tissue, occurs as a result of the biosynthesis of fibroblasts.

Skin elasticity is lost with age, however, at the same time, the skin wrinkles and sags. For this reason, it is aimed to restore the old natural and fresh structure of the skin as a result of treatments with various biochemical methods. Fibroblast therapy, which was developed in this context and is a very safe method, has been a frequently used method. With this method, skin tightening processes are performed using the person’s own fibroblast cells. In this method, which is applied regardless of gender, collagen and elastin production, which decreases with aging, is renewed with fibroblast treatment. The patient’s fibroblast cells in the back of the ear are taken with appropriate methods and transferred to the problematic areas, and the treatment is performed. Thanks to this method, the tissues regain their former vitality and regain their elasticity.

How Are Fibroblasts Applied?

For fibroblast production, the area to be biopsied is locally and topically anesthetized with an anesthetic cream. A tissue biopsy is taken with a 4 mm punch biopsy under sterile conditions from behind the patient’s ear or from the arm, which is an area that is not exposed to the sun. The tissue taken is subjected to special processes in our cGMP laboratories and fibroblast production is started. At the end of about 4 weeks, the cells are ready for application. For application, the cells are delivered to the relevant physician via the cold chain route. Fibroblast treatment is repeated 3 times at intervals of 4-6 weeks.

  • Sunbathing or tanning in the early stages of application may cause harmful effects on damaged areas. Therefore, sunburn and tanning should be avoided in the early period.
  • During the daytime, it should be protected from the sun with sunscreen creams and wide-brimmed hats.
  • In order to reduce the traumatic effect due to the application, cold compresses can be applied with the help of an ice pack.
